Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Like life, this site is a work in progress. Here's some stuff I'm working on.
First, a little background. I'm a father and husband and I reside in Huntersville, North Carolina, just north of Charlotte, but I was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I earn my keep as an attorney practicing copyright law and trademark law. I even have my own weblog dedicated to trademark law titled “Dilution by Blurring”. I also have a master's degree in economics, the purpose of which was “not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.” (Quote attributed to Joan Robinson). You can find out more about my professional life at LinkedIn.
While I enjoy practicing law, my true passion is writing software. I've taught myself several programming languages, including AppleScript, Ruby, Python, Perl, Smalltalk, JavaScript, and Objective-C. Well, I'm still learning that last one. I become more excited when writing Web applications and learning new Web application technologies. I'm constantly trying to find ways to make myself more productive and I find software solutions often provide the best return on my investment. Stay tuned as I'll soon be launching a new Web site called “Scripting for Lawyers” where I hope to teach a few lawyers how to script their own solutions for their everyday tasks.
I should also mention that I'm available for consulting. If you want to let your computer work for you, contact me and I'll help you become more productive and more profitable.
